Power-Train
The engine of a Ford Fusion is a 2.5 liter drivetrain with Hybrid power-split. This engine produces 156 horsepower, a 2.5 liter lean burning and Atkinson cycle gasoline engine, which shares the motivational duties with a 106 horsepower output. Both the power sources of the car are joined by using a planetary gear set, which transmits the combined torque to the electronically controlled transmission. This power is then translated to the front wheels of the vehicle. The differences in the power curves of the two motors limit the output, to a maximum of 191 horse power.
