Ford Fusion is a midsize hybrid family car, which is being manufactured by the Ford Motor Company since the year 2006 in US market, while Ford Fusion of Europe has been in the European and Asian markets since 2002.

Ford Fusion Performance Comparison

Ford Fusion was manufactured at Hermosillo Stamping and Assembly plant of Ford in Hermosillo of Mexico, where similar vehicles like Lincoln MKZ and Mercury Milan have also been manufactured. All the three cars are manufactured based on the CD3 platform, which is also shared by Mazda6; they hit the markets simultaneously, but Ford Fusion grabbed a larger market share.

2010 Ford Fusion Car

The production of first Fusion car from Ford was commenced on 1st August, 2005. Mondeo replaced the Fusion for Latin American markets except Argentina, Canada and United States. The Ford Fusion car gains sporty exteriors and gorgeous interiors for 2010.

United States Environmental Protection Agency categorized the Ford fusion between the full sized Ford Taurus and compact Ford Focus; declaring it to be a hybrid for US markets, while it still sells in European and Asian markets as a sedan.

The 2010 Ford Fusion car has been awarded the Trend Car of the Year, and now the new Ford Fusion is also available in hybrid version. A lot of things have changed in the latest generation Ford Fusion car, but the engine and transmission options haven’t chanced much. On the other side, the cleaner tail lights are a very good improvement over the earlier heavily chromed versions.
