Ford Fusion Rear Deck Speakers
With the original radio of Ford Fusion, rear deck speakers are not available by default; but they are good to have, especially if you’re someone who really loves to enjoy rocking music on-the-move.
Common Ford Fusion Rear Deck Speakers FAQs
If you’ve a 6-speaker radio, the chances are high that you may have never fancied installing Ford Fusion rear deck speakers; but, the day you decide to do so, virtually hundreds of questions will start popping up in your hand; these will include –
• If you wish to add two more speakers, how would you do it?
• Will an amplified be a necessity or a choice?
• Can the existing RCA wiring be used
• Which woofer/sub-woofer is a good choice
Well, one can always get new wiring done, if the existing wiring is too old; otherwise you can simply tap the wires to the rear speakers. But, if you decide to pick aftermarket stereo, the strength may go down slightly.
Replacing the Ford Fusion Rear Deck Speakers
You need to get rid of the rear seat back, as well as the C pillar upper trim; this should hardly require 5-10minutes of your time, but if you’re not familiar with it, and trying it on your own for the first time, it may take a little longer.
For adding the sub-woofers, you may require additional adapter, but tapping into existing speakers directly may cause damages due to change in effective impedance of the circuit.
Disconnecting the rear door speakers i.e. moving them from the doors to the rear deck may be a great idea.
All depends on how you tap. If you’re going to be adding a sub then there are adapters for this. You may definitely require an amplifier in most cases; try to find the one that can be even used for bridging into mono.
