Low Tire Pressure Sensor on 2008 Ford Fusion

Maintenance is an important aspect of owning a vehicle. There are maintenance schedules that need to be adhered to strictly to keep your vehicle in top notch condition at all times. Engine oil, air and fuel filters, coolant temperature and tire pressure are some parameters that need to be checked on a regular basis. To help monitor your tire pressures, there is a low tire pressure sensor on 2008 Ford Fusion.

How to Check Tire Pressures Using Low Tire Pressure Sensor on 2008 Ford Fusion

Checking tire pressures can be done using the following procedure. A TPM activation tool is needed to perform this procedure. Low tire pressure sensor on 2008 Ford Fusion can be configured by tuning the sensor in an RF free zone, 3 feet away from the vehicle. Turn the sensor on by inflating the tire to the suggested pressure, and wait for 2 minutes. Switch off ignition and release the brake pedal. Turn ignition switch from off to run position three times and over 3 cycles.

Ensuring that the Low Tire Pressure Sensor Has Been Successfully Detected

After doing this, the activation tool recognizes the low tire pressure sensor on 2008 Ford Fusion. The horn sounds twice when the sensor is active. The same procedure has to be followed to configure the pressure sensor of all four tires. The gap between configuring successive tires should not exceed 2 minutes. The process has to be repeated from the beginning if wait time goes beyond 2 minutes.
